1/21/2012- Trials winner Friscan wins 3-year-old debut

Bill Simpson's Dunbarton Stable LLC's Friscan won his sophomore debut impressively Friday with an authoritative 4 3/4-length victory in a 5 1/2-furlong allowance contest at Laurel Park.
The 3-year-old son of Two Punch won the 2011 Aiken Trials' Coward Trophy, and was impressive in his juvenile debut winning by a neck in a 4 1/2-furlong race over Keeneland's Polytrack Elite surface on April 14. Friscan followed that victory with a third place finish in the Grade 3 Bashford Manor at Churchill Downs on July 2. The win was among four on the afternoon for jockey Kendrick Carmouche.
Graham Motion conditions the gray son of Two Punch, who was broken and trained in Aiken by Tim and Cary Frommer, and now has won two races from three starts and placed third once, in amassing $54,997 in earnings.
